To celebrate the 100th  year of the Organisation of the Swiss Abroad (OSA) as well as the 25th  anniversary of the Area for the Swiss Abroad in Brunnen, an exposition called The Fifth Switzerland has been recently opened by the President of the Swiss Confederation Johann Schneider-Amman in Brunnen.

The Organisation of the Swiss Abroad also created a 20 poster exposition to celebrate the 100 years of its existence and the contribution of the Swiss Abroad.

The Swiss Club of Victoria is pleased to display the exhibition until the end of 2016 in our club house.  Next time you enter the Swiss Club, take your time walking up the stairs to view and learn more about the accomplishments of the 5th Swiss during the past 100 years.

Swiss Festival – Sunday 9th October 2016


Come and join us at the Swiss Festival from 11am-5pm, Queensbridge Square, Southbank.

The Swiss Club of Victoria will be selling Nussgipfel (Nut Croissants). Please come to say hi and to buy some of our delicious Nussgipfel. These croissants are  all over Switzerland in bakeries and Restaurants.

The Swiss Festival is the biggest Swiss event of it’s kind in Australia . It is a unique event for meeting fellow compatriots, to enjoy Swiss Drink and food as well as traditional and some not so traditional music.
Bring the children for unique entertainment with our Myths & Legends, ‘Märli Wanderweg’ or ‘Fairy tale trail’, that will lead to some amazing winning prizes.
Entertainment will be provided by the Yodlers from Melbourne & Sydney, the Dance Group plus the much anticipated ‘Guggemusik’ from Auckland, plus from Switzerland the DJ ‘Swiss Conspiracy’. There will of course be some Swiss traditional music and some modern French singing. The complete program is available on the Swiss Festival website.

Getting to Southbank is easy, it’s just across the river from Flinders Street Station or you can park off City Rd, or at the Crown multi-storey carpark.
